Pieces That Make Getting Dressed Easier

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about ease when it comes to getting dressed. Not shortcuts, but the kind of ease that comes from having the right pieces in your wardrobe. When your closet is built around thoughtful, versatile staples, putting together an outfit feels far less overwhelming.

This week, I wanted to focus on a few outfit formulas I rely on often. Simple combinations built around timeless, wearable pieces that do the work for you. These are looks you can come back to again and again, without having to rethink things each time you get dressed.

Matching sets are one of my favorite ways to feel put together with minimal effort. They instantly look intentional and can be styled up or down depending on how you wear them. I love sets that feel polished but comfortable, especially ones that work with a simple tee, an easy layer, or a classic shoe.

Neutral layers are another constant in my wardrobe. A good cardigan, a lightweight knit, or a classic pull on pant can anchor so many outfits. These are the pieces that quietly elevate a look and make everything else feel more cohesive.

I’m also often asked about skirt styling, and the answer is usually simpler than it seems. A classic skirt paired with strong basics and understated accessories creates a look that feels timeless rather than fussy. It’s all about good proportions and pieces that balance each other well.

And finally, a classic day to night look is something I always come back to. A great blazer, well fitting denim, and a simple tee create a foundation that works for so many moments. It’s the kind of outfit that feels appropriate almost anywhere and can easily shift depending on shoes or accessories.

These are the pieces and combinations I reach for most often, especially on days when I don’t want to overthink getting dressed.
